Our Kamloops dentists use dentures to replace missing teeth and the surrounding gum tissue. Modern dentures are designed to closely resemble your natural teeth.
Dentures are dental restorations that can replace one missing tooth, or several in a row (partial dentures), or a whole jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). They allow patients who have lost teeth to eat and speak properly, and to maintain their facial structure.
Conventional dentures are fitted once any teeth that remained in the mouth have been extracted, and the gum tissue has completely finished healing. This usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.
Immediate dentures are made in advance of the extraction process and are placed right after the teeth have been removed. Once the gum tissues heal, the dentist will adjust the denture to ensure a snug, comfortable fit.
If you are missing some or all of your natural teeth, getting them replaced is important in order to preserve your oral health. Dentures are an affordable, natural-looking replacement option. If you are thinking about dentures, please contact our office to book a consultation.
